A masked intruder has targeted a 24-hour dairy in Christchurch.
It was in the ninth robbery at the Woolston Night n’ Day, on Ferry Rd, in eight months.
Police were called to the scene about 11am on Tuesday. No weapons were thought to be involved.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Worner said it was unclear at this stage if anything was taken.
Last month, police arrested an 18-year-old for the eighth robbery at the dairy. He was charged with aggravated robbery.
In December, two teenagers armed with an iron bar and wearing masks entered the Night ‘n Day and punched the store attendant in the face, stealing cash and cigarettes.
Earlier that month three masked offenders, two armed with hammers, ripped off a cigarette cabinet door and took tobacco products and cash.
