Police have concerns for the safety and well-being of a 55-year-old man who has been reported missing from Whitford in East Auckland.
John Prangley left his Whitford home on Thursday, April 13, and has not been seen since.
Sergeant Daniel Palmer says Prangley did not take any personal belongings with him and his family are concerned for his welfare.
He has not made contact with family or friends and this is said to be out of character.
Prangley is described as European, of medium build, 182cm tall, is balding and has blue eyes.
He has worked as the primary veterinarian at Franklin Vets since 1999, covering the Papakura and district farming region.
His online work profile says he comes from a family of racehorse owners and breeders and he and his family enjoy a full life of horse riding at home and on holiday.
Franklin Vets managing director Mark Hosking says they are working closely with the family and police with the aim of identifying where he is.
Anyone who has seen John Prangley or has any information on his whereabouts can contact Sergeant Daniel Palmer, phone 021 191 2023, or call Counties Manukau Police on 09 261 1300.
