The Commerce Commission has further delayed its decision on whether media companies Fairfax and NZME can merge.
Wednesday May 3 is the new due date for Commissioner Mark Berry to present the decision. A media conference is set down for 8.30am.
“The one day delay is due to the fact that the decision will not be formally signed off until late on Tuesday,” Fairfax acting managing director Andrew Boyle said in an email to staff.
A draft determination, issued in November, declined the merger application.
